EZ Food Group is a food processing company for prepared foods. EZ Food Group hired Muhammad Asim Sultan to head its Quality Control / Food Safety Department approximately four years ago. At that time there were numerous open CARS from CFIA, and the company was facing the possibility of being shut down until the situation was rectified. In addition, the HACCP plans were outdated and incomplete. Through his efforts the CARS were all closed in a timely fashion. After the HACCP plans were brought up to date, he embarked on bringing the company up to SQF standards by developing SQF Program from scratch, as was demanded by many of the larger customers. When audited, we achieved at 96% score, and the auditor remarked that this was the first time he had seen this achieved without using professional SQF consultants. Asim developed several HACCP Plans for different products like Chicken and Beef broth, Sea food products and numerous frozen entrees.

When a business opportunity arose to process fish, Asim was instrumental in having the company meet QMP standards, and comply with MSC standards.  Over the course of Asim’s consulting, the company was audited for food safety and quality by numerous well known wholesale and retail food chains. Consistently the company received near perfect scores in all audits like SQF, Organic, Food safety and Quality assurance, 10 Core McDonald’s audit, MSC audit, CFIA Section 4 audit and CFIA Fish processing audit.

In summary, Asim has the knowledge and drive to achieve outstanding results in the area of quality control and food safety for federally inspected meat plants.

Everyone knows that sometimes dealing with CFIA can be extremely challenging. New regulations, new programs, and constantly developing and maintaining Food Safety and Quality program is not an easy task. 

Hiring Muhammad (Asim) Sultan was probably the best move we as an organization made. Removing the headache of understanding new rules new regulations allowed us to focus more on the business at hand. 

Simply put Asim is extremely knowledgeable and extremely competent and his skill set in dealing with all CFIA matters is priceless. We are confident that all our records and BRC program are maintained properly.
